Queen Igbineweka

Hi Queen, It’s great to have you as our latest Girls Golf featured player. How did you get started in golf?
I started when I was 8 years old. My mom and dad were wondering what could I do for an activity that didn’t involve running.

Where do you play?
I practice usually at Murrieta Driving range in Murrieta CA. and at The Legends Golf Course in Temecula CA. I’m lucky enough to play at golf courses all over Southern California and I will be receiving a golf simulator at my home soon, all I have to do is write a few optishot golf simulator reviews.

Great area for golf. What do you love most about the game?
I like meeting new friends who play golf and I love watching and learning how to hit a golf ball.

Are you having lessons?
Yes, I have had two instructors: PGA Professional Mary Richie who is now the head woman golf coach at the University of California Riverside, and PGA Professional Jenny Holt out of Temecula. I’ve also had some pointers from PGA Professional, Terry Davis from Hawaii who is one of my dad’s personal friends.

Tell us about your best golf experience ever?
When I won my first trophy it was for third place in a putt off. After that, I started winning and winning.

What part of the game do you love the most?
I like using my driver because I like to to see how far I can hit a ball. Actually, I enjoy every part of golf. These are the clubs that I am currently using:

  • Driver Taylormade Superfast 2.0
  • 5 Wood Taylormade Superfast 2.0
  • 4 hybrid callaway RAZR X
  • 5 hybrid callaway RAZR X
  • 6 thru AW callaway RAZR X
  • SW callaway RAZR X Black
  • LW callaway RAZR X Black
  • Putter Topflight
  • Ball Bridgestone Lady precept yellow

Love the yellow ball! Have you got a favorite player?
My favorite is Rickie Fowler because he is a great player who is very colorful and, of course, I’m a fan – Rickie grew up here in Murrieta CA.

Thank you, Queen. It’s been great to catch up with you. Good luck with your continued success and enjoyment of the game, we look forward to tracking your progress over the coming years.
