Having Sand Trouble? Make Your Own Bunker Board

Stephanie Molloy from the Wee Burn Country Club demonstrates how to practice great sand technique using your own bunker board.
Sand Trouble - Build a Bunker Board - Womens Golf

The purpose of a bunker board is to help you correctly use the bounce of your golf club when you are in the sand. The correct shot is indicated by the paint showing on the trailing edge of your clubhead rather than the leading edge.

Once the bunker board is in place, set up like a clock in the bunker. Your target is 12 o’clock, your clubface at 2 o’clock, and your feet at 10 o’clock creating an open stance with your feet and your club face.

From here, make your swing more of a “U” shaped swing compared to a “V” shape, and you’re away.

Enjoy!
